Missouri S&T - Summer Camps

Missouri S&T 2018 Summer Camps
Inspiring the Next Generation

Dear Educator,
Missouri University of Science and Technology offers a variety of summer enrichment programs, camps and other activities for students from fourth through twelfth grades. Through every educational experience, our goal is to increase the number and diversity of students who are excited about and preparing for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) based careers. All Missouri S&T programs provide a fun, innovative and inspiring way for students to learn about and explore the many opportunities that lie ahead.
We’d like to highlight two of the programs appropriate for students in the grade levels you work with:

Learn the basic principles of robotics at this hands-on program including electronics, sensors, motor and servo control, programming and control techniques as well as robotics applications in today’s society.

Experience aeronautics and space flight from a ground-up perspective, as you learn about the history of flight, astronomy and space exploration. Your three days will be filled with computer simulations, interactive teamwork activities and practical hands-on experiences.

The following link is to a flyer for all summer camps currently being offered at Missouri S&T: Summer Camp Flyer.  We would appreciate it if you would display this announcement in your school.

We also encourage you to visit our website, summer.mst.edu, to review the most current information on these and other programs. Students who are interested in attending summer programs may also register online at this site – just choose the program and then the register link. Each program has a unique registration process.

We appreciate you partnering with us in encouraging students’ interest in STEM-focused programs. If you have questions or need additional information, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Sincerely,

Michelle Wiginton, Coordinator
