Safe Touch and Safe Surf - Parent Viewing Session

We will hold a parent viewing session   Thursday, April 27th in the library from 6:00-7:00 .   our parents will be able to view the video and handouts for each grade level.  We will have three sessions.  The video is ten minutes.  6:00-6:20      K-1grade  6:20-6:40      2-3grade  6:40-7:00      4-5grade Velina Critchlow, Concord School Counselor and a representative from Jewish Family and Children's Services will be hosting the event. If you need more information please call your school counselor. The Basic Language our students will hear in grades K-3 from this lesson include:  *Your body is your own.   *No one has the right to make you feel uncomfortable or scared.   *"No, Run, Tell"    *Who are the trusted adults in your life? Our 4 and 5 grade students will hear safe skills for using the internet.  This lesson is meant to support and follow family guidelines.   To become good cyber citizens and help ensure a bright future   To recognize

In our kindergarten classes this week we will be discussing our traits that make us unique.  We will also begin the language of being an up-stander for others when we notice rude, mean or bully behavior.

Rude:  Inconsiderate, thoughtless, unplanned  behavior, bad manners, only thinking about yourself, not meant to actually hurt anyone Mean:  Saying or doing something on purpose to hurt someone, maybe once or twice, usually in anger Bullying: on purpose, repeated over time and involves an imbalance of  power (physical, verbal, emotional, and cyber)
