Get Your Mind Right!

Image
MINDSET  link for parents We have been learning about fixed mindsets and growth mindsets K-5 at Concord.  A simplified way to understand our objective:  Are your thoughts helping or hurting you?  Over time we want our students to understand they are in charge of the thousands of thoughts that enter their head during any given day.  As the thoughts register - ask yourself - is this thought helping or hurting me?  As the kids recognize harmful thoughts or fixed mind sets it is then their job to flip their thoughts to a growth mind set.  Time and energy are precious - use them wisely.  Please help your child practice this skill. We will post pictures of our dream catcher or "thought catcher"  when they are finished.
