Emotion Check

What bugs you?  Our students are identifying their anger buttons, recognizing their reaction to their button being pushed and learning how to practice healthy ways to express energy while learning to keep self, others and things safe.

We all have actions that push our button.  We all have typical/human ways we deal with emotion.
*Some show it
*Some hold it inside
*Some dump their energy on others

Another goal is for our students to be able to take their feeling temperature and understand how intense the feeling is in their body.  Learning to listen to their body as it speaks to them will take some practice.

With continued attention to our personal emotion check, our children will have a better chance of controlling their actions because they know what is coming and they have a better chance to do something about it - in a healthy way!
