We finished 2014 by collecting many items for families in our community. Our adopt a family service project supplied food, paper products, cleaning supplies, personal items along with clothes and gifts.
This feat was truly a team effort. Our team included our PTG parents, kids, Boy Scout troops and the Rotary Club.
Thank you for helping us set an example for our children by sharing and spreading kindness to those in need at this time.
We are practicing active listening skills to show we care! 👀Make eye contact with speaker Knod head to show understanding 😄😳Mirror face of speaker to connect with emotion😢😡 Ask questions? or make a comment about what you have heard
We will be finishing up our summer safety lessons k-5 this week. K-3 grade classes heard a lesson about keeping their body safe - just is case. Our fourth and fifth grade students learned about safe usage of social media. They also heard keys points to be a responsible digital citizen. Please review the packet information sent home with your child.
Well, we are back and rolling. I hope you and your children are feeling a bit more settled into the new school year and the routine that comes with it. I am happy to say we have already started counseling classes with the students. I have a rotating weekly schedule called A, B and C Week. This semester, I have an intern working with me. Her name is Sarah Hartz and she is a graduate from Truman State University. She is happy to be with us and is already serving our school well. Mrs. Ronzio and I share a class space this year. We are located in room 4, just past the media room and library. If you would like to visit with me regarding your child at Concord, I can be contacted by phone or email.
